Heat up the Yoga

Who would have thought that there is a time-shift in San Diego? Not me for sure... So not knowing about this, I ended up being way too early for this Yoga class called "H2O" at Indie Yoga @1857 Bacon Street. So instead of doing some heated fusion of hatha and vinyasa I ended up finding myself in the cardio-like workoutclass called "Indie Strong". Bummer. The second bummer was, that I went there, expecting to be part of their special deal, which they offer on their website as well on their street signs: First time students - first week, unlimited classes, just $10. Yet when I went there they said, that this offer is only available for local residents (which doesn't say anywhere on their website) and that I would have to buy a normal package or pay for a drop in class ($12). Second bummer.
Now, being there at 7.40 in the morning I decided to just go for it and try "Indie strong". Well, I have to admit, it was nothing I expected at all - it was a great cardio workout with lots of sit-ups, push-ups, jumping and therefore good for building up a core strength I guess, but there were only a few sun salutations, some planks and that's about it for the yoga-part. Third bummer? Almost...
Too bad I didn't have the time (and urge) to go and try for a second chance...
Well, after all, I have to admit that I wouldn't have minded paying $20-25 for a week of unlimited (or even 3-5) classes (like they offer at Purusha Yoga in San Francisco or Yoga Soup in Santa Barbara). I guess since it is a new, still growing yoga studio, they're not that flexible (on the price) yet... But if I had more time here in San Diego I would definitely go there again and try this "H2O"...
